Nirvana offers a wide variety of both hot and non-hot yoga classes, barre classes, aerial yoga classes & fitness classes, PLUS wellness services!
Why INFRARED hot classes?
• Infrared Heat has immune boosting benefits
• Sweating promotes detoxification and elimination through the skin - which is the body's largest eliminating organ.
• When your muscles and connective tissue become more elastic you allow for greater flexibility with less chance of injury.
• Just as when your body raises its temperature to fight infection, the raised temperature in the room will assist in improving T-cell function and the proper functioning of your immune system.

I have never done yoga or fitness before, where do I start?
You are welcome to join any of our classes as a beginner besides the Hot Detox classes. Everyone has had a first flow, so leave your ego at the door and approach yoga with an open mind and heart. Our Yin yoga classes are great before a hot class or if you have tight hips and weak joints.
What to expect?
Absolutely NOTHING. There will be times in class that you may have doubts about surviving. You may at times feel like you want to run out screaming, but somehow, you'll keep going. Then you will find that “yoga euphoria” in class... and from there, the journey begins.
What and when to eat?
Yoga and fitness are best done on an empty stomach so do not eat anything 2 hours prior to class. Coconut Water can curb the cravings and get you through class if you need some nourishment. It is isotonic and absorbs into your system very fast. Yes, we have it available for purchase.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!!!
In the hot yoga and you will sweat. Hydration is key to avoid dizziness or fatigue during class. Ideally you want to drink 8 – 10 glasses of water (8 oz per glass) the day before and the day of the class. At least 2 hours prior to exercise you want to consume 16 oz of water or fluid without caffeine. Ease up on the fluid 1 hour before because it will just make you feel bloated and have the urge to use the restroom.
What do I bring?
Water, a mat, a towel & a smile.
What do I wear?
Snug clothing that you are comfortable sweating in. Women typically wear yoga pants or shorts with a workout top or sports bra. Men wear running shorts and a snug shirt (sleeveless is good) that won’t get in the way of practice. Shirts are optional for men.
How many times should I practice during my Introductory week/month?
As a new student it is important to get in the studio as often as you can in the first week and/or month. Yoga is not like other forms of exercise so there is no danger of "overtraining" as long as your practice is balanced. The more you do, the stronger you will feel and the better you will look. Try to make a commitment to experience a minimum of 3 classes your first week. Our model is convenient where you can come anytime during the week for infrared virtual classes !
